Paper Mario is a 2000 role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems for the Nintendo 64. It was later re-released for the iQue Player in 2004, the Wii's Virtual Console in 2007, the Wii U's Virtual Console in 2015, and Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Classics in 2021. The game has the player taking control of Mario on his quest to rescue Princess Peach and save the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser, who has stolen the mythical Star Rod of Star Haven and used its wish-granting powers to make himself invincible. To stop Bowser and rescue Princess Peach, Mario and company must save the seven Star Spirits; magical beings who have been sealed in cards by Bowser with the power to nullify the Star Rod, as well as the original owners of the Star Rod.

The Talking Flower figurine (pictured) was released on March 12, 2026.
A new trailer for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book was released on March 10, 2026. The trailer revealed that the game will release on May 21, 2026, along with additional gameplay details showcasing the game's creature discovery system.
Mario's Tennis and Mario Clash were released on Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics on March 10, 2026 for MAR10 Day. Additionally, Mario vs. Donkey Kong was released on Game Boy Advance - Nintendo Classics on the same day. The soundtrack for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury was simultaneously released on Nintendo Music.
A Nintendo Direct featuring the final trailer of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was broadcast on March 9, 2026, which introduced new characters: Wart, voiced by Luis Guzmán, and Honey Queen, voiced by Issa Rae, also featuring Donald Glover as Yoshi.
